Patrick Henry in his famous speech "Give Me Liberty or Give me Death" cites the grievance of slavery and injustice as two major reasons why his countrymen should band together to vanquish the British threat. What have Americans done to justify "rebelling" against the British? Include a quote to represent his rhetoric. What was happening in America at this time that illustrates the blind hypocrisy of the early founding fathers? How would Henry define the American dream? British are taking over American and its citizens within the country, but America is “rebelling” against British. When discussing about American’s “rebelling” against the British, Patrick Henry analyzes the citizens of American are fighting against the British in “Give Me Liberty or Give me Death”: “The millions of people, armed in the holy cause of liberty, and in such a country as that which we possess, are invincible by any force which we against us” (10). In time of Colonies, American was getting taking over by the government British. Henry will define the American Dream by living in freedom within the country and not being controlled by cruel government. Therefore, living in freedom is the American Dream for American citizens.

Americans have gone against the British and made many speeches to go against their governments. In America the colonist were trying to rule by themselves with no help from the British. The Founding Fathers where trying to fight for their freedom. Patrick Henry's American Dream is that we are free and have liberty.

The Founding Fathers wanted America to rule its own colonies and not have to fallow in the British rules which caused them to rebel against the British. To get the freedom and liberty that we have today the Founding Fathers had to go a great length and put their lives on the line.
